About Mini Gourmets ...
Mini Gourmets was born out of a passion of cooking and a love of my children. I have always loved cooking from a young age, creating wonderful creations from the heart of our family kitchen. When my children came along, I wanted to share my love of cooking with them.
From a young age, my children have been a part of meal preparation, showing then how things are cut up, grated, mixed and cooked. When old enough, the dining room table chair is dragged into the kitchen to help crack eggs, stir, mix and create. I love showing my children all these things and then enjoying the rewards of our hard work - the eating!!
Getting my children in the kitchen, showing them how things are made also ties in with my love of gardening and our vegie garden. Being a Biology Teacher before having children, I love explaining how things grow, tending to our garden and then reaping the rewards with delicious fruit and vegetables that we cook up and eat!
I am also passionate about additive free cooking (as much as possible!). My daughter had a reaction to something she ate so I try as much as possible to cook everything from scratch.
